New on Resonate November 19th

new this week

  • Resonate Co-op has submitted its evidence to the UK Government Digital, Culture, Media and Sport Select Committee Inquiry into the Economics of Music Streaming.  We had a fantastic, impassioned response from our members, occasional listeners, artists, and the general public everywhere.  It was quite a job to capture the great insights you provided, and to convey the strength of feeling.  Read the full response here, and take the ongoing survey to add your perspective.

new releases

  • Descriptions written by the artists.  Resonate Co-op welcomes new artist members from Northern Ireland, the Cayman Islands, Mexico, and Texas.

The Mad Dalton – Antioxidant | United Kingdom | “The musical moniker of Belfast musician/writer Peter GW Sumadh. This, his second EP, was recorded by Michael Mormecha & co-produced by Johnny Woods.”
Stuart Wilson – Reggae Renaissance | Grand Cayman, Cayman Islands | “Reggae Renaissance is an album that showcases Stuart Wilson’s entire catalogue of songs. The canvas of the music is Reggae but there are textures of blues and jazz.”
Diego Mora – Stay Home | “Diego Mora is an 18 year-old independent musician from Morelia, a small city from the central region of Mexico.”
Farris Swisher – Virtual Reality | Dallas, Texas | “My first tape (that I liked enough to keep!) With some light philosophy mixed into video game and drug references, this project is the result of my early psychedelic experiences and a trip to rehab.”
Farris Swisher – VR2 | Dallas, Texas | “As I continued experimenting with my sound, I found myself at a weird place in life. I feel at this point I better figured out what I wanted to say and had more people to help me make it happen.”
Farris Swisher – Swish the Magic Dragon | Dallas, Texas | “Some singles+songs that were originally meant for an album called ‘Farris Swisher’s Day Off’ that I ended up scrapping. Also I feel like a dragon is my spirit animal so that’s where we get the name.”
